The design of this candelabrum in 1901, marked the move away from stylised plant forms that characterised early Jugendstil (German Art Nouveau) up to 1900, thus clearing the way for modernism and the 20th century.
The model frequently appeared in the catalogues of the United Workshops for Art and Handicraft between 1901 - 1907.
